HARRY AGGANIS This statue of Harry Agganis stands on the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Harry Agganis Way in front of Boston University's athletic center which also bears the athlete's name. Nicknamed the "Golden Greek," Agganis was BU's first All American in football. Agganis was drafted to play football for the Cleveland Browns, but elected to play first base for the Boston Red Sox.
